South Africa Tour of India in 2022, There has been a massive announcement by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) regarding the India squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series with South Africa. In 2022, the Men in Blue will host South Africa for a five-match T20I series starting at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on 9 June 2022, after the thrilling Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) season. It will be good practice for both teams ahead of Australia’s ICC T20 World Cup.
As a dress rehearsal for the T20 World Cup later this year in Australia, the BCCI can name a young side and test them out at home. Considering that the conditions in Australia will be totally different from those in India, they can prepare pitches that are almost reminiscent of those down under to get them ready for the tournament.

BCCI Focus on Umran Malik, Karthik, Hardik
Selectors are likely to give due consideration to the performance of the Indian players in the IPL 2022 when picking the squad. The squad was expected to get selected after the IPL 2022 final, but the BCCI decided to push it forward since the IPL has come to an end, and they are largely sure of the players to be chosen.
There are no star players in India’s T20I squad, including regular captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Jasprit Bumrah. After impressive IPL performances, the pace bowling duo of Arshdeep Singh and Umran Malik has been called up for the first time in the T20I squad. For the home T20I series against South Africa, KL Rahul is the stand-in captain.
This will be a welcome break for some of these players who had been in the bubble for a long time. Likewise, the selectors might call back players like Dinesh Karthik, Sanju Samson, and the like.
