The ICC has released the schedule for the T20 World Cup 2022 Schedule. Matches will be played in seven Australian cities from October 16th through November 13th. The first 12 countries have been confirmed while the final four will be determined by global qualification. There will once again be a great match between archrivals India and Pakistan during this event.

As part of the super 12 feats, England, New Zealand, Australia, and Afghanistan are placed in group one, while India, Pakistan, South Africa, and Bangladesh are placed in group two. Sydney will host a clash between the two finalists of the 2021 T20 world cup in the UAE where New Zealand will face the pending champions Australia. Later in the tournament, India and Pakistan will compete in one of the most anticipated matches.

Super 12 will conclude on the 5th and 6th of November for both groups. Apart from the Pakistan vs India and Australia vs New Zealand matches, other matches will stand out as possible major games during the Super 12 stage. The 2021 semi-final between England and New Zealand will be a repeat of the match played at the Gabba in Brisbane on the 1st of November. In addition, Pakistan will face Bangladesh in Adelaide on the final afternoon of the Super 12 stage.

About T20 World Cup Group Stage

The tournament will begin with a six-day group stage – the first round – to determine the final four teams to qualify for the Super Twelve. Sri Lanka and Namibia will join West Indies and Scotland in Group B with two additional teams from the Global Qualifier in Group A.
