Chetan Sakariya was given his first IPL cap by the Rajasthan Royals ahead of their match against the Punjab Kings on Monday.

2. Rajat Patidar -RCB Rising Stars IPL 2021
Rajat Patidar, regarded as a ‘top-quality batsman’ by RCB director Mike Hesson, who has been watching him closely for two years, has the potential to become an instant sensation this season. Patidar, a middle-order bat with the potential to strike big in the middle overs, will help provide his franchise with a much-needed Indian hand in the middle-order, which they currently lack.
His transformation from a no.11 batsman and off-spinner in junior cricket to a regular batsman has been spectacular. The Madhya Pradesh vice-captain scored 221 runs in the 2021 SMAT at a strike rate of 153.47. Even in the VHT, he hit a 61-ball-102-run knock to get ready for the IPL. He performs the wristy flicks, crunchy pulls, and cover drives, as well as his RCB skipper. His batting has an effortless quality to it that makes him a joy to watch.
3. Shahrukh Khan -PBKS Rising Stars IPL 2021
A lower-order finisher is also one of the most challenging positions to break in the shortest style. Unlike top-order batsmen, there is no time to adjust to the ball, speed, and bounce. And they are supposed to come out with all guns blazing. And Shahrukh Khan from Tamil Nadu takes on the job.
He can use the long handle, has the perfect mindset of a finisher, and has the required skill set to be a star in the IPL 2021.
His 19-ball 40 against Himachal Pradesh in the quarter-finals and 18 off seven balls in the SMAT final. Both qualities knock under pressure, were a preview of what to come from him. In the SMAT 2020/21, the 25-year-old had a strikerate of 220 and managed to finish games well in the VHT. Where he averaged 66 and had an SR of 105.88. He has what it takes to become an excellent middle-order bat.
In the two matches he played,he scored 90 runs. And in that two-inning, he has hit five sixes and seven fours with a strike rate of 145.
4. Ruturaj Gaikwad -CSK Rising Stars IPL 2021
Ruturaj Gaikwad was a few positive signs for the Chennai Super Kings in the previous IPL season. At the time they struggled to make the playoffs for the first time.
Gaikwad went on to score three consecutive fifties after scoring a duck in his first IPL match. In the end, he became the first uncapped Indian player in IPL history to score three 50s in a row.
Gaikwad has been in good form in domestic tournaments and is predicted to play an essential role at the top of the order for CSK. With Watson retiring, it is speculated that CSK will bat first with Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis.
Out of 4 matches he played for CSK in 2021, he has scored one fifty and has a strikerate of 100+.
With their extraordinary performances in the current seasons. I hope they could stand a chance in the squad for World cup T20 coming this year. Well, if not, they had a long way to go. Stay tuned for more such news at Crickvrial.
