Team CSK IPL-2021: MS Dhoni-led and started their campaign

The news is confirmed – THALA DHONI has arrived in Chennai, and the most talked and loved franchise of IPL – He will be starting their campaign for CSK IPL-2021 by 8th or 9th March.

CSK IPL-2021 Dhoni Back in Action

The news mentioned above was confirmed by kasha Viswanathan – CEO of the CSK team. MS Dhoni and batsman Ambati Rayudu already have entered Chennai, and other Tamil Nadu players will soon join the team.

Before the mini-auction held in February at Chennai. Team CSK has released Kedar Jadhav, Harbhajan Singh, Murli Vijay, and Piyush Chawla from the squad. The key overseas player Shane Watson has taken retirement from all formats of the game, including IPL. So, excluding Watson in the list – there no change in the overseas player.

In the auction, the franchise has bought Moeen Ali, R Uthappa, K Gowtham, and the “Mr. Dependable of Indian test squad” Cheteshwar Pujara.

We hope that the team does well this season as they finished the 2020 edition at 7th position. Also, it will be a very healthy inclusion of Suresh Raina in the squad as he flew back to India in the previous season.

Not to forget that CSK has 3 titles on the board and n number of playoffs qualifies. Let’s look at the new squad for IPL 2021.

1. Robin Uthappa

Chennai Super King (CSK) should be pleased to see Robin Uthappa’s mode in Vijay Hazare. CSK purchased Uthappa from Rajasthan Royals during the IPL-2021 Trading Window, and that’s going to be one of the smartest to purchase. Last week, Uthappa ended up hitting 87* out of 32 balls and secured Kerala’s quarter-final entry.

  • He has scored 2 centuries in 5 matches.
  • Scored blistering innings of 87 runs just in 32 balls.
  • He has overall 375 runs in 5 matches
  • That averages 93.75
  • His strike rate in the Vijay Hazare tournament is 135.

2. Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja has ruled out from parts of Test and T20I of the Indian series against England owing to a finger operation. He endured during the Australian Test Series, can only enter the Super Kings in the first week of April.

Jadeja is currently at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, and earlier this week, she shared videos and photos of him returning to active training. It’s not sure whether he will pick up the three-game ODI series against England, scheduled for Pune at the end of March.

Not to forget Jaddu’s performance in Australia.

3. Narayan Jagadeesan

The local Tamil-Nadu boy was seen in exceptional form as he has scored 217 runs from the 5 innings of the Vijay Hazare Trophy with an average of 43.40. He has scored one century as well.

I hope this year he will seal a spot in playing 11 for the CSK.

4. Ruturaj Gaikwad

The Mumbai player is also having a pretty decent season as he has scored 182 runs in the 5 matches he played – where he also has a century on his name. Hope we see him and Robbi open the innings for CSK this year.

That’s all from our end! Let’s see what coach Stephen Flaming has strategized for this year’s edition. Fans would love to see Mahi in action with the bat with Rain and Jaddu with their brilliance in the field.
